The Acai used in Pure Acai™ UK is grown under a 100% sustainable program for us by Universal Taste®. Universal Taste® has been working with the Brazilian tribes people since 1997 to produce organic Acai under a Fair Trade agreement.

Indeed, Universal Taste® was the very first company to bring Açaí products to the World market in 1998, importing the product into North America in 1999 as part of UT’s Project S.O.S. Amazon Fund, a sustainable program inside the Rain Forest focused on growing and preserving Acai.

In fact this Acai pioneer goes further than other Acai companies by also using all the waste from processing to manufacture pots and vases produced from the leaf fibre left over after processing the Acai fruit.

This means more jobs and less deforestation of this vital part of the World's ecosystem.

Acai Berry Since 1997 extensive research and development has been undertaken by this Brazilian based company to harness the best technology to capture the nutrient value of Açaí making it market-ready for the consumer. In fact they export directly out of the Amazon Rain Forest, unlike most other companies which transport their Acai to the US to process there (potentially loosing potency and efficacy).

In fact this company has been working closely with Brunswick Laboratories in Brazil and the USA to expand knowledge regarding Açaí and antioxidants.

The acai products which we sell are manufactured in the UK to comply fully with the "Food Supplements (England) Regulations 2003" which came into effect on the 1st August 2005, as well as all MHRA regulations. Pure Acai products are manufactured to full GMP Code of Practice and ISO9001:2000 Quality Accreditation. The UK manufacturing plant is FDA and EPA registered.
